Why Choose a Schuberth Motorsport Helmet? The Fyshe Advantage
Schuberth is made for racers.
We understand that equipment must support instinct, not interrupt it. A Schuberth helmet is relied upon every time the car leaves the pit lane.
Protection is fundamental. Every helmet we supply meets current FIA and SNELL homologation standards required for international competition, including the SF4 ABP helmet which complies with the FIA 8860-2018/ABP standard required for F1. Each model is tested for impact absorption, penetration resistance and the racing helmets for flame protection.
But certification alone is not enough. A driver must feel stable at speed.
Schuberth shells are developed using wind-tunnel testing to manage airflow and reduce lift. Stability reduces neck strain, which in turn improves endurance and concentration.
The interior is anatomically shaped and lined with flame-resistant materials. Padding can be adjusted or replaced to maintain a precise fit over time. Even pressure distribution prevents movement under braking and cornering loads.
When protection, balance and fit align, the helmet becomes part of the driver. That is the invisible line.
Helmet Fit, Sizing & Comfort: Your Definitive Guide
Fit determines performance. A helmet that shifts under load cannot protect as designed.
Measure accurately
Use a flexible tape measure. Measure around the widest part of your head, just above the eyebrows and ears. Record the measurement in centimetres.
Consult the model-specific size chart
Each Schuberth model has its own sizing guide. Always match your measurement to the correct chart before selecting a size.
Expect a close fit
A new full-face FIA and SNELL helmet should feel firm and evenly snug. Your cheeks should be lightly compressed. There should be no gaps at the crown or sides.
Test stability
Secure the chin strap. Move the helmet from side to side and forward and back. Your scalp should move with the shell. If the helmet rotates independently, it is too large.
Assess comfort over time
Wear the helmet for several minutes. It should remain secure without creating pressure points across the forehead or temples. Slight initial tightness is normal. Sharp discomfort is not.
If you are between sizes, get in touch for direct advice. Correct fit is essential for safety and compliance.
Accessories to pair with your Schuberth Race Helmet
Performance extends beyond the shell.
Race Visors
Clear, tinted and mirrored options adapt to different light conditions. Optical clarity is maintained at speed. Visors are designed for quick replacement between sessions.
Aero Spoilers
Optional spoilers refine airflow and improve high-speed stability in specific disciplines.
Internal Padding
Replacement liners allow you to maintain hygiene and a consistent fit throughout a season.
Tear-Offs and Anti-Fog Inserts
Tear-offs ensure clear vision in wet or debris-heavy conditions. Anti-fog inserts reduce condensation in humid cockpits.
Each component supports the system. Browse our full collection of helmet accessories to maximise your Schuberth motorsport helmet investment.
